iTheatre's Location

Come backstage with iTheatre Collaborative at the Herberger.

iTheatre has, for the past six years, resided in the Herberger's best kept secret. Our "backstage" blackbox theater is located on the Center's northside on Van Buren Street just west of 3rd Street. Look for the tan canopy/awning over our doorway where you can pickup or purchase your tickets for one of the best, most intimate theater experiences in Phoenix.

The Herberger Theater Center is located at 222 E. Monroe in downtown Phoenix.

A few words about downtown parking:

As downtown Phoenix re-development has progressed, and the number of new buildings has increased, it seems that places to park have dwindled. Still, there are options that the savvy theater-goer (such as an iTheatre patron) can pursue, other than handing over one's firstborn to the friendly folks at the Chase garage.

  1. $4 Parking at Arizona Center. A special offer for iTheatre patrons. You can purchase a $4 parking voucher for the Arizona Center Parking Garage either online, over the phone or when you get to the theater. The voucher is good 7 days a week between the hours of 6pm and 4am only. (Not much use for a matinees, but it's better than a stick in the eye.)

  2. Carpool. The more the merrier! That $10 parking fee doesn't hurt so much if it's split two, three, or more ways (Wow. How big is your car?) And, what better way to let your friends and neighbors in on the best-kept secret in downtown Phoenix (that would be iTheatre, by the way).

  3. Make a night of it. The new Sheraton Hotel (located just across the street from iTheatre) offers free parking in their garage if you dine in their restaurant, the District. Or park at the Arizona Center (again just across the street from us) and eat at one of the many restaurants there and get your parking validated for reduced rates. So many places to eat, but only one truly great theater experience, all just across the street from one another.

  4. You can take the A-Train. Well, they don't call it that, instead it's the light rail, but still it takes you from uptown to downtown in twenty minutes or so. The Central and Van Buren stop is just two blocks away (about a five minute walk). There's park-n-ride parking lots all along the route. For more info on the Light Rail visit Valley Metro.
